The dream week of Courtney Kemp Agboh, creator, executive producer and showrunner of Starz drama
series Power, continues. Following the news that the Saturday Season 2 debut of Power has set a new
season premiere ratings Live+same day record for Starz with 1.43 million viewers and the 6/10 Season 3
renewal, Starz has signed Kemp Agboh into an overall deal. Under the pact, Kemp Agboh will continue
as executive producer/showrunner on the crime drama, which straddles two different worlds: the glamorous
New York club scene and the brutal drug trade.
“Courtney is a highly regarded showrunner whose creative vision brings viewers into the two worlds of
Power,” said Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz. Added Kemp Agboh, “Starz have been great creative
partners in the development and growth of Power, and I hope to nurture our relationship through the life
of this series and beyond.”
Kemp Agboh, repped by CAA and Felker Toczek, started her career in the magazine world, publishing
articles in GQ, Vibe and Marie Claire, before she then left New York to pursue a career in television writing.
Before creating Power, which has been airs in 175 territories, she has worked on Fox’s The Bernie Mac
Show, ABC’s Eli Stone, and CBS’ The Good Wife.
